Y-shaped rubber seal ring is a kind of rubber seal used for reciprocating movement.
The section is Y-shaped, referred to as "Y-shaped seal".
Generally used for hydraulic or pneumatic transmission of the operating system, in the piston, piston rod, cylinder parts play a sealing role. It can be molded from high hardness nitrile rubber, or molded with polyurethane rubber, or made of sandwich cloth combined type.
This kind of product has the advantages of simple structure, good sealing effect, self-sealing effect when the pressure increases, but the root of pure rubber products is easy to extrude under high pressure.
General pure rubber Y-shaped sealing ring is suitable for oil pressure less than 16 MPa, linear velocity less than 0.5 m•s-1, temperature -30 ~ 120 ℃ occasions. Multi-lip reciprocating rubber seal ring: is a composite rubber seal with two or more sealing lips.
There are different section structures according to the service conditions.
Most of them consist of NBR and adhesive cloth layer with fabric, which can be molded into one body directly, or molded and vulcanized separately to form a sealing body.
The sealing surface is equipped with a plurality of sealing lips and lubricating oil grooves, so that a small amount of lubricating oil is retained on the sealing lip surface when it is working to reduce friction and heat dissipation.
When used, there are generally two plastic rings on the top and bottom of the seal to prevent the seal ring from being squeezed into the gap under high pressure.
According to the different structure, its working pressure is generally 20 ~ 40MPa, linear velocity is 0.1 ~ 0.2m•s-1, can work in hydraulic oil, water and emulsion.
Installation of Y-type rubber sealing ring
1. Check the surface quality of the sealing parts. Before installing the Y-ring, check the surface of the sealing parts. No flying edge or burr can occur.
2. check the size and model of Y-type sealing ring, Y-type sealing ring size and accuracy must meet the standard requirements, in strict accordance with the requirements of the manual, select the same size and model, otherwise it can not ensure the tightness and other requirements.
3. soak wear-resisting ring, because wear-resisting ring is mainly made of PTFE filled PTFE material, the material has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, thermal expansion coefficient is larger, so we must be soaked in 100 degrees Celsius oil for 20 minutes before installation, let the wear-resisting ring gradually softened, and then the wear ring into the groove of the piston.
4. the use of special tools, when installing the sealing ring, can not use a hammer, hammer and other items knock in, because it may damage the sealing body, so we try to use special tools, before installation, it is also recommended that you smear some lubricating oil on the lip of the y sealing ring, reduce resistance so as to facilitate installation, and can prevent the sealing body in the initial operation of friction burn.
5. the installation needs to be checked immediately, do not be able to wrinkle, distortion, reverse installation and other phenomena, if found, to immediately remove and reinstall, so as to ensure the normal use of the sealing ring later.
