Hollow Spliced O Rings

Hollow Spliced O-Rings are an advanced sealing solution designed for applications where low closure force and precise, reliable sealing are required. Unlike standard solid O-rings, hollow O-rings feature a hollow core, which makes them significantly easier to compress without compromising material hardness. This design is particularly effective in situations with large enclosure tolerances or limited compressive force. Hollow Spliced O-Rings are widely used for sealing lids, doors, enclosures, and other static applications where low force and consistent sealing performance are essential.

Our Hollow O-Rings are produced using a hot vulcanizing bonding process, which ensures the splice joint is as smooth and compressible as the rest of the O-ring. The splicing compound uses the same base polymer as the extrusion, providing uniform mechanical and chemical properties along the entire seal. This method allows fabrication of a wide variety of hollow cross-sections, including circular, square, rectangular, or custom extruded shapes.

Available materials include NBR, EPDM, FKM, Silicone (VMQ), HNBR, FFKM, and other approved compounds. Hardness can be customized between 20–75 Shore A, providing flexibility for different sealing and compression requirements. All materials comply with UL, ASTM D2000, NSF STD-51, USP Class VI, and FDA 21 CFR177.2600 standards.
