❓ Why can't I just buy a solid block of rubber for maximum strength?
Rubber is incompressible by nature; it must have space to expand outward when pushed downward. A large, solid rectangular block has very little surface area to bulge outward, meaning it acts like a rigid brick under high pressure. The hollow holes provide internal empty space for the rubber to bulge into, allowing the block to compress deeply and absorb shock rather than just stopping it violently.
❓ How do I mount a rectangular rubber bumper without the bolts sticking out?
During the custom molding process, we engineer "counterbored" mounting holes. This means there is a deep recess molded into the rubber face for your bolt head to sit inside. When the bumper compresses against an object, the object hits the flat rubber face, not the destructive metal bolt head hidden safely inside the recess.
