Compared to NBR (Nitrile), EPDM is ideal for water-based fluids, weather, and steam environments. UV and ozone resistant, with a lifespan of 15–20 years.

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) is a synthetic rubber known for its excellent environmental resistance, making it suitable for outdoor and high-moisture applications.
Superior Weather Resistance：
- Maintains flexibility and sealing performance outdoors
- Tested 2000 hours QUV exposure without cracking (ASTM D1149)
Excellent Water & Steam Resistance：
- Suitable for hot water, steam, and water treatment equipment
- Does not swell or degrade in continuous water contact
- Water absorption <1% after 7 days immersion (ASTM D471)
Chemical Resistance：
- Resistant to dilute to moderate acids and alkalis, ketones, alcohols, and polar solvents
- Compatible with phosphate ester hydraulic fluids and brake fluids (DOT 3/4)
- Not compatible with petroleum oils, gasoline, diesel, mineral oils, or greases
Wide Temperature Range：
- Low temp: remains flexible down to -40°C
- High temp: continuous 120°C, intermittent 150°C
- Steam: suitable up to 130°C
