❓ Why can't I just use a piece of straight silicone tubing and bend it over my U-Bolt?

If you force a straight piece of rubber tubing to bend around a tight radius, the outer wall stretches thin and the inner wall buckles (kinks) violently. This kinking restricts the internal diameter, making it impossible to push the bolt all the way through, and the thinned outer wall will tear almost immediately under stress. Our pre-molded curved covers eliminate kinking entirely.

❓ Do these covers stretch to fit slightly larger threads?

Yes. Silicone is a highly elastic elastomer. We typically design the internal bore of the cover to be 5% to 10% smaller than your bolt's thread diameter. This creates an "interference fit," where the silicone stretches slightly over the threads, gripping them tightly so the cover will not vibrate loose or allow water to seep underneath.

❓ Can you add my company logo to the outside of the cover?
