Hollow Rubber Ring Gasket (Square Hollow Section) is an elastic sealing component featuring a square-shaped hollow cross section. This design significantly enhances flexibility and compression performance while reducing the required sealing force, making it especially suitable for applications where low clamping pressure and stable long-term sealing are critical.

Unlike solid rubber gaskets, the internal hollow cavity allows the gasket to deform more easily under load. During installation, the hollow structure collapses uniformly, enabling the gasket to conform closely to mating surfaces and compensate for dimensional tolerances, surface irregularities, and assembly misalignment.

This type of gasket is widely used in industrial enclosures, automotive components, electrical cabinets, and equipment housings where reliable sealing, vibration absorption, and repeated opening and closing are required.

Square Hollow Profile Design

The square cross section provides a flat and stable sealing surface, ensuring uniform contact pressure across the entire sealing interface. Compared with round hollow profiles, the square shape offers improved anti-roll stability during assembly and better resistance to lateral displacement.

Internal Hollow Cavity

The hollow core reduces material stiffness and lowers compression force requirements. This allows effective sealing even when bolt load or clamping force is limited, helping to prevent over-compression and damage to mating components.

Excellent Elastic Recovery

After compression, the gasket rapidly returns to its original shape, maintaining consistent sealing performance over multiple assembly cycles and long-term service.

Hollow square rubber ring gaskets can be manufactured from a wide range of elastomer materials to meet different environmental and performance requirements:

• EPDM: Excellent weather, ozone, and aging resistance, ideal for outdoor and enclosure sealing
• Silicone (VMQ): Wide temperature range, good elasticity, suitable for electronics and high-temperature environments
• NBR: Good oil and grease resistance for mechanical and automotive applications
• Neoprene (CR): Balanced mechanical strength and environmental resistance
• FKM: Superior chemical and high-temperature resistance for demanding applications

Material hardness, wall thickness, and hollow ratio can be optimized to balance sealing force, durability, and compression behavior.

Square hollow rubber ring gaskets are typically produced using extrusion technology. The hollow square profile is extruded to precise dimensions, cut to length, and then joined into a continuous ring through heat splicing and vulcanization.

The spliced joint is carefully controlled to ensure strength, elasticity, and sealing integrity equivalent to the main body of the gasket. For smaller sizes or applications requiring tighter tolerances, molded endless rings can also be supplied.
